Haojue vs TVS and Hero: Why Haojue Deserves Your Shortlist

HAOJUE ZAMBIA / BUYER GUIDE

Shopping for a motorcycle for commuting, deliveries or business errands? Indian brands such as TVS and Hero are worth comparing. But before you choose, take a closer look at Haojue. The right model can offer specific features that matter on your daily route, together with clearly listed local prices and a seller you can contact in Lusaka.

Our case for Haojue is simple: compare usable features, riding fit and the full buying cost. Here are the reasons to put it on your shortlist.

1. An extra gear in the 125cc comparison

The Haojue XPRESS Plus is listed with a five-speed transmission, compared with four speeds on the Hero Hunter 125 shown on Hero's Zambia website. For a rider who wants more gear choices as speed and load change, that is a concrete reason to consider the XPRESS Plus. Gear ratios and riding conditions still matter: one extra gear alone does not prove better acceleration or lower fuel consumption. [1, 2]

2. A little more clearance where it counts

The XPRESS Plus has 171 mm of listed ground clearance, against 160 mm for that Hunter 125: an 11 mm difference. It offers more nominal clearance beneath the motorcycle, a useful point to check on uneven access roads. It is not a promise that the bike can clear every speed hump, or permission to ride over obstacles quickly. [1, 2]

Compare the actual 125cc models

Specification XPRESS Plus Hunter 125 TVS HLX 125 5G
Engine capacity 124.9 cc 124.7 cc 125 cc
Transmission 5 speeds 4 speeds 5 speeds
Ground clearance 171 mm 160 mm 165 mm
Kerb mass 126 kg 119 kg 121 kg
Brakes Drum / drum Drum / drum Drum / drum

The XPRESS Plus also has 6 mm more listed clearance than the TVS HLX 125 5G, which likewise has five gears. The trade-offs matter: Hero is 7 kg lighter, and TVS is 5 kg lighter with higher listed peak power and torque. All three list drum brakes front and rear. Choose after checking how you reach the ground, move the bike while parked and operate the controls. These are model-specific comparisons, not claims that every Haojue beats every Indian motorcycle. 3. More than one way to find your fit

Haojue EG150-X 150cc. Listed at ZMW 29,700 on 21 October 2026.

If you want to compare a lower seat within the Haojue range, look at the EG150-X. Its store listing specifies a 780 mm seat height, versus 820 mm for the XPRESS Plus. The EG150-X is also heavier at 140 kg, so a lower seat is not the whole handling story. Compare the actual bikes rather than choosing by engine size alone. [3]

Ask each seller for the same information: permitted load, service intervals, written warranty, parts availability and an itemised quotation. A brand name by itself cannot answer those questions.

4. Clear local prices before you decide

At HAOJUE ZAMBIA, the following motorcycle prices were checked on 21 October 2026. Our listed registration service is ZMW 2,500, with estimated processing of approximately one week. [3]

Model Motorcycle price With registration service
EG150-X ZMW 29,700 ZMW 32,200
XPRESS Plus ZMW 30,600 ZMW 33,100
NK150 ZMW 40,500 ZMW 43,000

The EG150-X currently costs ZMW 900 less than the XPRESS Plus. That makes the 150cc option worth considering without assuming that a bigger engine must cost more. We have not verified comparable current TVS or Hero dealer quotations, so this is not a claim that Haojue is the cheapest brand in Zambia.

These subtotals cover the motorcycle and the listed registration service only, not every on-road cost. Confirm insurance, protective equipment, transport, accessories, stock and exactly what registration includes before paying. Prices and availability can change; processing time is an estimate.

5. A local conversation, not just a specification sheet

Visit our wholesale store in Kamwala, Lusaka, or contact our team before travelling. Tell us your budget, daily distance, road conditions and what you plan to carry. Ask about the exact bike, servicing arrangements and parts for that model - and get the answers in writing.

Browse haojuezambia.com and ask about the XPRESS Plus, EG150-X or NK150. [3]

Our recommendation: if you are weighing Haojue against TVS or Hero, start with a real model-to-model comparison. The XPRESS Plus's five-speed gearbox and extra listed clearance over the Hunter 125 are tangible reasons to look closer. Add Haojue's range of choices and a clear local quote, then choose the motorcycle that fits your day.
